Chile's renewables share falls to 29.8% in May
Jun 29, 2022 11:48 CESTDecember 1 (Renewables Now) - French hydrogen equipment specialist McPhy Energy SA (EPA:MCPHY) has been tapped to supply a 4-MW electrolyser to Enel Green Power for a project in Italy.
McPhy said on Tuesday it had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Italian clean energy group for the supply of a pressurised alkaline electrolyser from the Augmented McLyzer range.
The electrolyser would be connected to “a renewable energy park” in Carlentini, Sicily. The goal of the project is to supply green hydrogen for a power-to-gas system and for hard-to-abate sectors, McPhy added.
No other details about the project were disclosed.
Enel Green Power operates two small wind farms in Carlentini.
