Marc Becker rejoins Siemens Gamesa as new Offshore CEO

Marc Becker will return to Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (BME:SGRE) as the CEO of its Offshore business less than a year after leaving the company, it was announced today.

The wind turbine maker said in a statement that Becker, formerly the managing director for Germany and head of offshore sales and projects at Siemens Gamesa, will be the permanent replacement of company CEO Andreas Nauen as the leader of the Offshore business.

Pierre Bauer will continue as interim CEO of the business until February 1, 2021, when Becker will assume his new Hamburg-based position.

“With the addition of Marc, we will complete a strong and revitalized team to lead the turnaround that will deliver long-term sustainable growth and profitability to Siemens Gamesa,” said Nauen, who was promoted to CEO of the company in June.

Earlier this month, Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, former CEO of Nordex Acciona and co-CEO of MHI Vestas, was appointed CEO of the Onshore business.
