M2 Renewables, Harvey Muld College to partner on wastewater and energy conversion system improvement
(ADPnews) - Nov 4, 2010 - US wastewater treatment firm M2 Renewables said on Wednesday it would team up with Harvey Muld College Engineering Clinic in California for the development of its wastewater and energy conversion system.
The system would enable some waste plants to produce electricity for external use or sale, the company said.
Under the project, M2 Renewables will design a subcomponent of the wastewater and energy conversion system to reduce the energy needed for handling fresh solids by 64% compared with conventional methods.
The company uses fresh solids removed from waste water as a fuel for a gasifier that generates a clean syngas used in the production of electricity at a wastewater plant.
