Lakehouse takes over heating and renewables co Just Energy

UK asset and energy support services group Lakehouse Plc (LON:LAKE) said last week it has acquired St Albans-based private sector heating and renewables specialist Just Energy Solutions Ltd (JES).

JES, with a staff of 50, serves large energy companies, retailers and private householders. Among its offerings is the provision of solar buyback services.

The new owner’s experience and client base will help bolster the firm’s presence in the compliance and energy markets and beef up its existing relationships, said Neil Ring, co-founder and managing director of Just Energy. Lakehouse is also expected to expand JES’ geographic presence in private sector gas and renewables. In turn, it will complement Lakhouse’s three Gas compliance businesses.

The buyer is not paying anything upfront, but will provide deferred sums based on the profitability of the acquired business over the next two years, it said.
