K2 Management will act as project and construction manager for 240 MW of onshore and offshore schemes in Vietnam under three owner’s engineer deals, the Danish energy consultancy said on Thursday.
The company has secured the first assignment from Vietnam’s BIM Group, in partnership with AC Energy, with its tasks involving the delivery of tendering support, review of geotechnical and topographical surveys, foundation design support and preparation of quality documentation. The project covered by this contract is the 150-MW Phan Rang onshore wind farm.
K2 will also be responsible for the tendering, project and construction management packages for two pre-construction wind projects of 66 MW in total in Vietnam’s Quang Tri Province. Under this deal, awarded by Huong Tan Wind Power Plant JSC and Tan Linh Wind Power Plant JSC, the Danish firm will also provide back-office engineering support and oversee the power plant’s construction through completion.
Last but not least, K2 will be involved in a 30-MW nearshore project in Ben Tre Province, providing energy yield assessment, tendering support, contract preparation and quality support.
All projects will be finalised and brought online in 2021.
