Juhl Wind puts on stream another wind farm in Minnesota
Dec 7, 2011 - US wind farm developer Juhl Wind (OTC:JUHL) said today that its USD-3.6-million (EUR 2.7m) Winona County wind farm in Minnesota had kicked off commercial operation.
The facility, built in three years, includes two direct-drive wind turbine generators. It was developed and constructed by Juhl's unit Juhl Energy Development Inc.
The Winona County project is the company's second owned wind farm. In May Juhl acquired an operating 10.2-MW wind power plant in Woodstock, Minnesota, in line with a new strategy to invest in existing facilities that would expand its assets portfolio and fetch long-term revenue stream.
Juhl has completed five wind power projects with total capacity of 62 MW in the past two years. It said it would wrap up the construction of another wind farm by the end of this year.
