January 15 (Renewables Now) - Japanese firm Eurus Energy Group announced today it has concluded the acquisition of 53 MW of wind assets in the Netherlands from Dutch project developer Yard Energy Group.
More specifically, Eurus has bought, for an undisclosed amount, six operational wind farms with a combined capacity of 32.18 MW and a 21-MW wind project that is currently under development and scheduled to commence commercial operations in 2020.
With these acquisitions, the Japanese group’s wind power business in the Netherlands grows to 106.48 MW of combined installed capacity, including 15 operational wind farms. In additional, it has 42 MW divided between two projects under development or construction there.
As the Dutch government has a goal to reach 6,000 MW of wind power by 2023, Eurus plans to continue developing its wind power business in the country, it noted.
