Weekly renewables M&A round-up (Aug 8-12)
Aug 12, 2022 17:43 CESTNovember 26 (Renewables Now) - Italy’s PLT Energia, a holding company in the renewable energy industry, has secured a loan for 95 MW of greenfield wind projects in Italy, and refinancing arrangement for a different wind power portfolio.
The company said this week it had signed a multi-line loan agreement for a total of EUR 92.3 million (USD 104.2m) with UniCredit SpA (BIT:UCG), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti SpA (CDP). UniCredit served as bookrunner, mandate lead arranger and lender in the transaction.
The projects supported by this financing are currently under construction. No other details were disclosed.
PLT Energia also secured additional financing totalling EUR 43.95 million with CDP and UniCredit. These funds will refinance a portfolio of 74 MW of operational wind farms held by companies of the PLT Group, PLT Energia said.
