Italy's ERG comissions 20-MW wind park in France

Italian energy company ERG SpA (BIT:ERG) announced today it has put a 19.8-MW wind farm in France into operation.

Located in the Northeastern region of Grand-Est, the Les Bouchats wind park was developed and built in-house and features nine V110 2.2 MW turbines supplied by Danish manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS).

Once fully operational, ERG expects Les Bouchats to be capable of generating a total of around 52 GWh per year. The wind park also benefits from a 20-year feed-in tariff (FiT).

ERG also said that it has inked a partnership agreement with French renewable energy supplier group Volterres to offer around 200 nearby residents the possibility to access wind power-based electricity at competitive prices.

After the wind park was brought online, ERG’s wind and solar installed capacity in France reached more than 600 MW, the Italian group noted.
