Capital Energy, GRI Towers Sevilla to partner on wind power equipment in Spain
Aug 18, 2022 14:57 CESTAugust 4 (Renewables Now) - Indian wind turbine manufacturer Inox Wind Ltd (BOM:539083) has received a turnkey project order from a unit of state-run power producer NTPC Ltd (BOM:532555) in relation to a 200-MW scheme in the state of Gujarat.
NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd has selected Inox Wind’s DF 113/92-2.0 MW turbines for a project at the Dayapar site in Kutch District. In addition to supplying and installing the machines, the company will also provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services for the wind park, which should be commissioned by January 2024.
According to the announcement, common infrastructure like the 220-kV pooling substation and an extra high voltage transmission line has already been commissioned, meaning that the project will be executed on a plug-and-play basis with a shorter gestation period.
Last year, the same NTPC subsidiary placed an order with Inox Wind for a 150-MW wind project in the state of Gujarat, where the turbine maker had also successfully executed a 50-MW turnkey project for that customer a few years earlier.
