Jan 28, 2015 (SeeNews) - Indian wind turbine maker Inox Wind Ltd said on Tuesday it will build two wind farms totalling 172 MW at home for a unit of Tata Power (BOM:500400).

The company has won orders from Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd to supply, install and commission a 54-MW wind park in Gujarat and a 118-MW plant in Rajasthan. In total, Inox Wind will erect 86 pieces of its 2-MW turbines, as reported by local newspaper Mint.

The 54-MW project is expected to be finalised by June 2015, while the larger one is scheduled for completion in two phases by March 2016.

Under the terms of the contracts, Inox Wind is also in charge of site purchases and the operation and maintenance of the two plants.

The wind turbine manufacturer, part of Gujarat Fluorochemicals Ltd, is currently preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) in 2015.
