Indian company Inox Wind Ltd (BOM:539083) said on Monday it has received a 100-MW wind turbine supply order from local renewables developer Ostro Energy for a project in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
Ostro has ordered 50 pieces of the 2-MW DFIG 100 rotor dia wind turbine generators, which, Inox says, have one of the highest swept areas. The value of the turnkey contract was not disclosed.
Inox has agreed to develop, build and commission the wind farm as part of a 200-MW wind power complex at Lahori. Upon completion, the company will also operate and maintain the facility.
The 100-MW scheme is Ostro’s first in Madhya Pradesh. The company, which is backed by Actis, has set an objective to reach an operating capacity of 800 MW in the next three years, its CEO Ranjit Gupta said in a statement.
