Ingeteam to supply protection, control systems for Italian wind duo
EDP Renovaveis wind farm
Spanish electrical engineering company Ingeteam SA has won a job in Italy to supply the protection and control systems for two new wind projects in the southern part of the country.
Ingeteam announced it is in charge of the protection, control and measurement system, as well as the detailed engineering services, logic project, FAT and commissioning of the substation. It will use the INGEPAC EF equipment platform, it added.
The projects in question are Craco and Serracapriola and they are expected to be built next year.
According to a news statement released by engineering and consultancy group BFP in February, these wind farms are being developed by EDPR and have individual capacities of 33.6 MW and 26.6 MW, respectively. BFP said at the time that it will provide the Balance of plant (BOP) engineering services and executive design for the two projects.
Ingeteam noted that, including the latest order, it will exceed 400 MW of renewable energy evacuated in Italy. This includes work on a total of 14 projects since 2012.
