Indian wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon Ltd (BOM:532667) today unveiled two orders totaling 94 MW.
The company will supply 23 wind turbines of 3 MW each for a 69-MW wind project in Karnataka, slated for commissioning in 2024. The order comes from an unnamed Nordic energy company and represents the first project for the customer outside Europe.
The agreement includes supply of the turbines, project supervision and commissioning, as well as the provision of operations and maintenance services post‐commissioning.
The wind farm is intended to serve commercial & industrial (C&I) consumers under power purchase agreements (PPA).
This is Suzlon’s fourth order of its new 3-MW series in less than a month, the company noted. This week it also announced a 99-MW contract with Vibrant Energy.
The second order unveiled today is for 12 wind turbines of 2.1 MW each. They will equip a 25.2-MW wind power project of Sri Kumaraswamy Mineral Exports Pvt Ltd (SKMEPL) at Hanumanthappa, in Vijayanagara district, Karnataka, which is also due to be come online in 2024.
Suzlon will supply, erect and commission the turbines, and will also operate and maintain them. This is the manufacturer’s tenth order with SKMEPL.
