Suzlon Energy Ltd (BOM:532667) said on Thursday it has won a new 90.3-MW wind turbine supply order from ReNew Power for a project in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
Suzlon will install 43 of its S97 turbines in Ananthpur district with a hub height of 90 metres (295.3 ft) and 2.1 MW of rated capacity. The project will be jointly developed by the two companies.
Including this last contract, Suzlon’s new order intake from independent power producers (IPPs) exceeds 190 MW in the first quarter of fiscal 2015/16. Less than a month ago, the company unveiled a 90-MW turbine order from ReNew Power for a project in Madhya Pradesh. Suzlon is also building a 100.8-MW wind farm in Rajasthan and has already commissioned a 98.7-MW plant for the same client.
At present, ReNew Power has over 1,000 MW of clean energy assets that have already been completed or are under construction.
