Indian SAIP, North Delhi Power to jointly produce clean energy
(ADPnews) - Sep 21, 2010 -Clean energy firm Solena ABSi India Private Ltd, or SAIP, a joint venture of US ABSi Corp and Solena Group Inc, said Monday it will partner with North Delhi Power Ltd, or NDPL, to produce some 40 MW of clean energy from industrial waste.
SAIP said it would build a waste-to-bio-energy plant in New Delhi, using its plasma gasification technology to produce clean renewable bio-synthetic gas from biomass from municipal, agricultural and other organic wastes. The company has executed a memorandum of understanding with NDPL, under which the produced gas, which can replace natural gas, will be transported to NDPL's 108-MW power generation plant in New Delhi to result in some 40 MW of thermal power.
The bio-synthetic gas production will not lead to any carbon and other pollutants emissions, SAIP said. The project comes in line with India's plan to boost green energy production.
