Nov 14, 2014 - Indian firm Orient Green Power Co Ltd (BOM:533263) on Thursday reported a net profit of INR 111 million (USD 1.8m/EUR 1.45m) for July-September 2014, against a loss of INR 250.7 million a year ago.
Earnings per basic and diluted share for the period, which represents Orient Green’s second fiscal quarter, amounted to INR 0.03. This compares to a loss per share of 0.42 in the same quarter of 2013.
The renewable energy company also boosted its revenue to INR 1.72 billion, up by some 55% year-over-year.
Orient Green Power had nearly 510.4 MW of installed power generation capacity as of January 2014, including 424.4 MW of wind and 86 MW of biomass.
For its first fiscal half ended September 30, 2014, the firm posted a loss of INR 168.1 million, narrowing by half from INR 321.7 million a year before. Revenue rose to INR 3.19 billion from INR 2.34 billion.
