Weekly renewables M&A round-up (May 23-27)
May 27, 2022 17:26 CESTDecember 16 (Renewables Now) - Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives Inc (NASDAQ:IEA) said today that one of its units has been awarded a USD-44-million (EUR 39m) contract to lead the construction of a 60-MW wind farm in California.
IEA’s wholly-owned subsidiary White Construction will be in charge of building a 15-turbine facility in Riverside County. It will self-perform all engineering and construction of the turbines, two substation and meteorological evaluation towers (METs) and an underground electrical collector system. In addition, the firm will build new private-land access roads and undertake improvements to existing public roads surrounding the property.
The wind farm is planned to enter into service by the first quarter of 2023.
To date, IEA has constructed more than 20 GW of renewable energy plants across North America, it noted.
