Iberdrola partners with AVIA to install 500+ EV chargers in Spain, Portugal

Iberdrola SA (BME:IBE) and petrol stations operator AVIA have reached an agreement to deploy more than 500 charging points for electric vehicles (EVs) in Spain and Portugal.

The latest agreement builds upon the pair’s previous collaboration through which they installed 48 fast chargers at 24 AVIA service stations across seven regions of Spain, according to Iberdrola.

More than 100 service stations have been selected for the next installation round, this time covering almost all of Spain and 20 locations in Portugal.

The Spanish utility said its users could recharge their car batteries with 100% green electricity that comes with renewable energy guarantees of origin.
