Gresham House to buy 30-MW storage facility in Scotland

Gresham House Energy Storage Fund Plc (LON:GRID) on Thursday announced a conditional agreement to buy a 30-MW battery storage project which will be the fund's first in Scotland.

The agreement concerns a battery facility, called Bryers Brae, with a 30-MW/30-MW export/import capacity. The project is located near Wester Dechmont, Livingston. Commissioning of the facility is scheduled for the second quarter of 2021.

The project, to be sold by developers Gresham House DevCo Limited and Noriker Power Ltd, is part of the fund's pipeline announced in November.

Once finalised, the purchase will bring the total operational capacity of Gresham House's portfolio to 345 MW. The fund also has a 25-MW project in advanced stages of due diligence and plans to expand the capacity of its Glassenbury project by another 10 MW.
