Greencoat UK Wind publishes prospectus for share issues

Greencoat UK Wind Plc (LON:UKW) on Thursday published the prospectus for its new share issuance programme, announced in September, and launched the initial issue under the programme.

The initial offer for subscription closes on October 23 and the initial placing on October 25. Shares will be issued at GBP 1.17 (USD 1.56/EUR 1.32) apeice.

The fund that invests in UK wind farms will use the share issuance programme to pay down debt, so that it can make more investments. Up to 500 million new ordinary shares will be issued under the programme, which will end in October next year. It is subject to approval by shareholders at a meeting on October 18.

Greencoat UK Wind, which listed in 2013, has now created a portfolio with a net generating capacity of 617 MW across 24 wind farms.
