Spanish group Greenalia SA (BME:GRN) announced on Wednesday it has been cleared to commence construction of the 18-MW Monte Toural wind farm in the province of A Coruna, northwest Spain.The project, located between the municipalities of Coristanco and Santa Comba, will require an investment of EUR 18 million (USD 21.3m).Greenalia said it licences -- consent and construction permit -- had been published in the official gazette of the region of Galicia, where the project is sited.With a total of four wind turbines, with 111 metres in hub height and 136 metres in rotor diameter, the wind park should be able to generate 53.7 GWh per year.Monte Toural’s final number of turbines was reduced to four during the environmental impact evaluation, while two were relocated to avoid stepping on critically endangered plant species during construction, according to the company.(EUR 1.0 = USD 1.183)
