Greek PPC Renewables pre-tax profit falls in 9-mo 2011

Nov 25, 2011 - Greek utility Public Power Corp (ATH:PPC) today said that pre-tax profit at its renewable energy arm had declined to EUR 8.2 million (USD 11m) for the nine months through September from EUR 9.4 million a year ago.

PPC Renewables generated 195 GWh of power for the period, down from 209 GWh a year back. The difference was due to an 11.4% year-on-year drop in hydro power generation, the parent company said.
