Goldwind Americas to supply 60 MW of wind turbines for DG projects

Goldwind Americas announced on Tuesday that it has inked a deal to supply 60 MW of wind turbines to Ohio-based One Energy Enterprises LLC for various distributed generation (DG) projects in the US.

The Chicago-based subsidiary of Chinese wind turbine maker Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology (HKG:2208) said in a press statement that 20 units of its GW 87/1500 turbines are scheduled for immediate delivery as part of a framework agreement.

The first four machines will be installed for Whirlpool Corporation facilities in Marion and Ottawa, Ohio.

One Energy intends to begin stocking turbines at its yard in the US so that it can reduce the delivery time for projects under the Wind for Industry model, designed to achieve a substantial reduction of an industrial facility's power consumption from the grid. The ultimate goal is to reach the point where the company delivers wind projects in 90 days.

Prudential Capital Group is providing financing for One Energy's projects, according to the statement.
