German Weltec brings online biomethane plant in Saxony-Anhalt

Jun 25, 2013 - German green energy solutions developer Weltec Biopower said today it had brought to operation a biomethane plant in Arneburg, Saxony-Anhalt, after eight months of construction.

The plant produces 1,650 standard cubic metres of crude biogas per hour, the company said.

A total of around 250 cubic metres are used for the heat demand of the plant, while the rest could cover the needs of some 5,000 households, Weltec estimated.
