Nov 21, 2011 - German renewable projects developer Ventotec GmbH said on Friday it has sold an offshore wind power project with a capacity of 6 MW to German utility EnBW AG (ETR:EBK).
The price of the transaction was not disclosed.
The wind farm is located in the German federal state of Brandenburg. It comprises two wind turbines that will be operational by the end of the year and a third to be built in the first quarter of 2012. Each of the Vestas V90 turbines has a capacity of 2 MW and can meet the electricity needs of about 3,700 households.
Ventotec and EnBW have already started discussions on further co-operation. Ventotec has projects of over 1 GW in a process of planning and implementation for next year, CEO Ralf Heinen said.
