(ADPnews) - Oct 29, 2010 - German renewable project developer Juwi Group today announced it entered the Indian market by establishing a subsidiary in Bangalore, the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka.
The new subsidiary -- Juwi India Renewable Energies Pvt Ltd -- will start realising solar photovoltaic (PV) projects from 2011. It plans to install up to 100 MW of PV systems in the coming years. Furthermore, the firm will be in charge of the whole process of project development -- from identifying suitable sites to plant commissioning.
The Indian government has set a target of 20 GW of installed PV power by 2022. Adding its experience in renewable plants construction worldwide to the agreeable conditions in India, Juwi expects its Indian unit to register rapid growth already in the next two years.
