German Biogas Nord more than triples sales from abroad in 2012

Jun 28, 2013 - German biogas plants developer Biogas Nord AG (ETR:BG8) said yesterday it more than tripled its sales from abroad in 2012 to EUR 36 million (USD 47m) from EUR 8.8 million in 2011, thanks to its strong international business.

However, the company reported a year-on-year decrease in sales generated in Germany, as the local biogas industry shrank by about 74%.

Biogas Nord will publish full information on the financial year 2012 at the end of July, 2013.

In 2013, the company expects to generate positive net results thanks to its strong international growth.

Biogas Nord AG is currently focused on its globalisation strategy, the company said. In 2012, it raised its international presence to 14 countries. In addition, the company entered two new markets in 2013.
