Gemma unit nabs USD 51m EPC deal for 200 MW wind farm
(ADPnews) - Nov 17, 2010 - Gemma Renewable Power LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gemma Power Systems, has inked a USD 51 million (EUR 38m) engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) deal for a 200 MW wind farm in Henry County, Illinois.
The agreement, signed with Bishop Hill Energy LLC, a subsidiary of Invenergy Wind North America LLC, calls for Gemma Renewable to provide design and construction of roads, foundations, and electrical collection systems. The company will also be responsible for erecting 134 units of wind turbines, provided by General Electric (NYSE:GE).
According to plans, the wind farm will be completed in late 2011.
