Gamesa to supply Indo Rama Renewables with 30 MW of wind turbines
Sep 18, 2012 - Spanish wind turbine maker Gamesa (MCE:GAM) on Tuesday said it had bagged an order for 30 MW of wind turbines from Indian firm Indo Rama Renewables.
As part of the deal, Gamesa's Indian arm will install and commission 15 pieces of G97-2.0 MW wind turbines in Jath in the state of Maharashtra by the end of 2012.
Indo Rama Renewables is a unit of Indo Rama Synthetics (BOM:500207).
The deal comes after last month Gamesa unveiled a 75-MW order from another independent power producer in Maharashtra -- ReNew Power. India accounted for 14% of Gamesa's total sales in the first six months of the year.
