Gamesa to supply 48 MW of wind turbines to China's Huadian
Jul 25, 2012 - Spanish wind turbine maker Gamesa (MCE:GAM) today said it had signed a contract with Huadian Group to supply 48 MW of turbines for a wind farm being built by the Chinese power company in Liyushan, Fujian Province.
The wind facility will use Gamesa's G87-2.0 MW Class S machines. Deliveries are set to start on August 31.
Including the latest deal, Gamesa has partnered with Huadian for more than 420 MW of projects.
The Spanish group entered the Chinese market in 2000 and says it has since then installed nearly 3,000 turbines at over 60 sites. It currently has a joint development pipeline of about 3 GW in China.
