(ADPnews) - Oct 15, 2010 - Spanish renewable energy company Gamesa (MCE:GAM) said yesterday it had agreed to supply 251 MW or 197 wind turbines to three Chinese companies.
Gamesa will supply to Guangdong Nuclear Wind Power 48 G90-2.0 MW turbines, while Datang Renewable Power will receive 25 turbines of the same type.
Henan Weite Wind Power has ordered 124 wind turbines of G58-850 kW, or a total of 105 MW.
China is a strategic market for the Spanish company with projected annual sales growth of 20%, according to Gamesa's 2011-2013 business plan, presented in London on October 7. Gamesa plans to double its business in the Asian country with sales accounting for 30% of the total revenue in 2013 versus just 15% in 2009. The Spanish wind turbine maker also targets to double its capacity in China to over 1,000 MW in 2013.
