French wind power producer Futuren SA (EPA:FTRN) today said its consolidated revenue for the first nine months of the year came in at EUR 42.45 million (USD 46.63m), marking a modest 3% growth year-on-year.
Sales of electricity, Futuren's core business, registered an increase of 2% on the year, reaching EUR 36.6 million, notably thanks to the contribution from a 21-MW wind farm commissioned in November last year.
Income from the development and management of wind farms activity grew by 13% between January and September, adding EUR 5.8 million to the total.
Futuren commissioned the 18-MW Chemin Perre wind farm in France’s Aube department at the end of September. During the third quarter the company also started work on its 13 MW Les Monts project, again located in the Aube department. The commissioning of this wind farm is planned for January 2017. When up and running, it will bring the installed capacity operated by Futuren for its own account to 374 MW. In total, the company operates 732 MW of wind power plants.
Futuren's pipeline of projects that are fully permitted or under construction currently stands at 181 MW, which will be commissioned during the next 3 years.
