French Aerowatt, JMB Energie merge to form Quadran
Jul 2, 2013 - French renewable energy group JMB Energie and solar and wind power company Aerowatt (EPA:ALWAT) announced yesterday their merger, which will set up green energy production company Quadran.
Quadran will be a leader on the French market, active on the entire life cycle of electric power plants. The firm will operate with the major sources of renewable energy, namely wind, photovoltaic, hydropower, biogas and biomass, with the support of its technological expertise in weather forecast and energy storage.
Quadran will employ 110 at 13 agencies and units in France and overseas departments.
The company, which currently runs 136 plants in France, targets 330 MW of installed capacity, including the new facilities to be ready by the end of 2013, and a revenue of EUR 70 million (USD 91.1m) this year.
Quadran's output of 700 GWh per year will cover the requirements of 600,000 households.
