October 23 (Renewables Now) - The main shareholder of French floating wind power specialist Eolfi SA is looking for bids from new investors in the business, Bloomberg reports, quoting people familiar with the matter.

Founder Alain Delsupexhe has not yet made a final decision as part of the process, which is at an advanced stage, the sources have said. One of them has noted that a number of oil and gas companies such as Royal Dutch Shell Plc (AMS:RDSA), as well as Northern European utilities and financial investors have expressed interest in a transaction.

According to the report, Delsupexhe seeks new investors in order to finance the next stage of Eolfi’s expansion. The company hopes to take a final investment decision for a EUR-230-million (USD 256m), three-turbine pilot project in Brittany next year.
