Finnish Taaleritehdas orders nine wind turbines from German Nordex
Aug 21, 2012 - German wind turbine maker Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) said today it won an order from Finnish wealth manager Taaleritehdas to install nine N117/2400 turbines at the Honkajoki wind farm, which will have a capacity of 21.6 MW.
The project will be funded mainly with own capital, which is to be raised via a mutual fund, the Finnish firm said. Specific figures were, however, not mentioned.
Installation will begin in the spring of 2013 and the turbines will be put on top of 120-metre-high (394 ft) towers. Once completed, the Honkajoki wind farm in southwestern Finland will generate up to 100 GWh of electricity a year.
This order is the first one placed under the framework agreements signed by the companies in June 2012 for the delivery of up to 111 turbines with a total capacity of 260 MW.
