Falck Renewables launches 15-MW wind farm in Scotland
Oct 21, 2013 - Italian Falck Renewables SpA (BIT:FKR) today said it had recently launched the 15-MW Nutberry wind farm located near Nutberry Hill, in Scotland.
The wind farm comprises 6 Nordex wind turbines and is expected to generate some 54 GWh of renewable energy per year which will meet the demand of 12,500 households and will save some 23,000 tonnes of CO2 per year. The commissioning is expected to be completed at the end of November, the company said.
Moreover, Falck Renewables has received authorisation to begin the construction of the Assel Valley wind farm, located near Girvan, in south-western Scotland. The wind farm will have ten turbines and will have an installed capacity of up to 30 MW.
Besides, Falck Renewables announced it had reached 731 MW of total installed capacity, of which 288 MW in the UK.
