November 25 (Renewables Now) - The Beuningen municipal council has cleared the zoning plan and environmental permit for a five-turbine wind farm proposed by Italy’s Falck Renewables SpA (BIT:FKR) in the Dutch province of Gelderland, also known as Guelders.

Falck said in a statement on Wednesday that it can now commence the construction of the wind farm. It expects the plant to be up and running as early as 2025.

The project is a partnership between Falck Renewables Nederland BV with a 25% interest, domestic energy cooperative EnergieVoorVier with 50% and utility Eneco.

Falck’s Global Head of Business Development and M&A, Carmelo Scalone, noted that this is the company's first project in the Netherlands.

At present, the Italian renewables firm has 1,349 MW of installed capacity worldwide.
