Denmark-based hydrogen company Everfuel A/S on Tuesday launched its plan to roll out up to 15 green hydrogen fuelling stations in southern Sweden by the end of 2023.
The latest announcement comes after in March the company unveiled the first section of its Scandinavian green hydrogen fuelling network, which would include up to 15 fuelling stations in Norway.
The network in Sweden will include Everfuel-developed sites and stations set up as part of the Nordic Hydrogen Corridor initiative in partnership with Norway's Statkraft, Japanese carmaker Toyota Motor Corp (TYO:7203), South Korea's Hyndai Motor Co (KRX:005380) and Hydrogen Sweden.
As part of Nordic Hydrogen Corridor, up to eight hydrogen fuelling stations will be deployed across Sweden with the help of funds provided by Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). Planning and site selection is underway.
Everfuel's Scandinavian network will initially include Denmark in addition to Norway and Sweden.
Overall, Everfuel aims to invest EUR 1.5 billion (USD 1.8m) under its plan to offer green hydrogen fuel for buses, trucks and cars across Europe and to achieve EUR 1 billion of revenue by 2030.
