Eurowind UK files application for 61-MW Scottish wind farm - report
Jul 27, 2012 - Wind energy developer Eurowind UK has lodged a planning application to the Scottish government for its proposed up-to-61-MW Nathro Hill wind farm near Brechin, Angus, Kirriemuir Herald reported yesterday.
The move comes after a long public consultation on the plans for the 17-turbine facility.
Submissions will be accepted by the Scottish government as part of a consultation on the application until August 22.
Eurowind UK is developing the wind farm as part of a portfolio of projects across Scotland. According to conservative estimates, the facility would be able to generate enough power for 28,400 homes, but that number could increase following measurements of wind speeds, Kirriemuir Herald said.
