European Energy to sell 39-MW wind park in Italy

August 10 (Renewables Now) - Copenhagen-based wind and solar developer European Energy A/S said today it has agreed to sell a 39-MW wind farm in Italy to a local buyer, whose name was not disclosed.

The company is building the particular wind park in the municipalities of Tolve and Vaglio Basilicata in the Basilicata region. It said that this is the largest such plant currently under construction in the country.

Completion of the facility is expected in September 2018. It will consist of 13 units of Siemens’ SWT-3.0-113 MW turbines.

European Energy noted that this sale will contribute positively to its financial position, but did not provide any further details. Closing of the transaction is scheduled for the first quarter of next year.
