Norddeutsche Landesbank, also known as NORD/LB, and Siemens Financial Services (SFS) have provided financing to European Energy A/S for its 39-MW Bosco Le Piane wind project.
The wind park is currently being built in southern Italy’s Basilicata region. The project involves erecting 13 Siemens Gamesa wind turbines that should be switched on in the second half of the year.
“Italy is increasingly becoming a core market for us, as the Italian government is providing the support for a transition into green power production, and we do see future opportunities to develop projects in Italy,” said Knud Erik Andersen, founder and CEO of European Energy.
The particular German lender previously backed European Energy's 20-MW Oppido wind farm in the same region, and the Gilmerdingen wind farm repowering in Lower Saxony, Germany.
