December 2 (Renewables Now) - Swedish wind project developer Eolus Vind AB (STO:EOLU-B) has finalised a 163-MW wind farm project in Sweden and transferred the ownership of the asset to Germany’s Aquila Capital.

The Kraektorpet wind park is situated in Sweden’s northern municipality of Sundsvall and uses 43 units of Vestas Wind Systems’ (CPH:VWS) V136 3.8 MW turbines.

Eolus and investment company Aquila Capital signed a sale and purchase agreement for the company that holds the rights for the particular wind park in December 2017. The project developer said on Friday that the agreed payment of EUR 173.5 million (USD 191.2m) has been made and the buyer has taken over the plant.

Apart from building the wind farm, Eolus will also deliver asset management services for it. Construction financing for the project was provided by Aquila Capital.

The deal at end-2017 also included the sale of the 68.4-MW Nylandsbergen wind park, also in Sundsvall municipality, which Eolus completed and handed over to Aquila in September.
