Egypt's Elsewedy secures USD 150m for solar projects
Jun 30, 2022 15:45 CESTSeptember 2 (Renewables Now) - London-based Offshore Design Engineering Ltd (ODE) and Korean peer DongYang Engineering Co Ltd (DYE) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to pursue offshore wind and other opportunities in South Korea and the rest of the world.
Signed on August 27, the agreement is meant to create a solid local offering for the emerging Korean offshore wind sector, ODE said on Wednesday.
Among the business development activities and the execution of engineering services established in the MoU, ODE and DYE will jointly develop an offshore substation design specifically to cater to the needs of future Korean offshore wind farms.
“This is a significant step in ODE’s development in Korea. DYE has an established and respected presence in the Korean energy market; this memorandum will bring important opportunities to both companies,” said Jinho Paik, ODE’s Korea Country Manager.
