May 27, 2022 17:26 CESTMay 12 (Renewables Now) - A unit of German project developer Energiequelle GmbH and WindStrom France have put into operation a 9-MW wind park in the Bourbriac commune in northwestern France.
The wind farm consists of three Nordex N117 turbines each of 3 MW which are expected to produce about 32 million kWh of green electricity per year and supply some 6,000 households.
The project was developed by the two partners and Energiequelle's French arm, P&T Technologie, was in charge of the construction.
The wind park will receive a remuneration of EUR 0.072 (USD 0.076) per kWh for a period of 20 years.
With the commissioning of the facility in Bourbriac, Energiequelle's installed capacity in France reached 238 MW. Two more parks are under construction this year.
In 2022, WindStrom France is also preparing to put two more wind parks in operation and begin the construction of another one with a 225 kW substation.
