German project developer Energiequelle GmbH has launched construction works on the 28.5-MW Takanebacken wind farm located in the Maalahti municipality in western Finland.The facility features five Nordex N163 turbines, each with a hub height of 148 m (485.6 ft) and an output of 5.7 MW, which are expected to generate around 100 GWh per year in total green electricity and supply around 18,000 households, Energiequelle said on Tuesday.The German company has selected Ab Tallqvist Infra Oy as a contractor for the construction of roads, hardstands and foundations as well as the electrical connections, while the necessary substation will be built by VEO Oy.The project will be financed with debt provided by the Berenberg Green Energy Junior Debt Funds I, II and III.The park will be connected to the grid in the autumn of 2022.The Takanebacken park is the third project for Energiequelle in Finland which has already installed almost 80 MW of green power capacity in the Scandinavian country.
