Italy’s Enel Green Power SpA (BIT:EGPW), or EGP, said today it has brought online the 74-MW Little Elk wind park in the US state of Oklahoma.
The roughly USD-130-million (EUR 120m) project was realised with the backing of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc. The facility, located in Kiowa and Washita Counties, is able to produce more than 330 GWh of electricity per year and has a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with People‘s Electric Cooperative of Oklahoma (PEC).
With the latest addition, Enel Green now has six operating wind farms in Oklahoma. Just this year, it has switched on over 420 MW of wind parks in the particular state, including the 200-MW Goodwell facility that was completed earlier in December.
Overall, Enel Green Power North America Inc (EGPNA) owns and operates over 95 plants in 21 US states and two Canadian provinces, with a combined capacity of more than 2,300 MW.
