Naturgy breaks ground on 300-MWp solar park in Texas
May 18, 2022 15:14 CESTDecember 20 (Renewables Now) - Endesa SA (BME:ELE) said today its renewable energy arm, Enel Green Power Espana (EGPE), completed and grid-connected 98 MW of wind farms in Spain.
The company's four new facilities -- El Campo, La Estanca, Loma Gorda and Santo Domingo de Luna -- together represent an investment of EUR 100 million (USD 111m). The wind farms are located in Zaragoza province, joining another four that EGPE commissioned recently.
The capacity is part of 540 MW of wind that EGPE secured in the Spanish government's renewable energy auction in May 2017. So far, the company has commissioned 285 MW of the awarded wind, with the deadline to connect the rest approaching. Endesa assured its unit will finalise the remaining projects by the end of the year.
All 339 MW of the awarded solar power is already online.
