(SeeNews) – Aug 31, 2012 - Italy's Enel Green Power (BIT:EGPW) unveiled Thursday the completion of commissioning of its 48-MW Moldova Noua wind farm in the Romanian western region of Banat.
The plant features 21 of 2.3-MW wind turbines and more than half of the wind farm’s capacity, or 25 MW, has been online since December 2011.
The farm is expected to generate some 130 million kWh of electricity annually, eliminating an estimated 70,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
With the launch of full operations at Moldova Noua, Enel Green Power’s total wind farm capacity in Romania reached 292 MW. The company also has 206 MW of wind power capacity under construction in the country.
