October 15 (Renewables Now) - Eguana Technologies Inc (CVE:EGT), a Canada-based provider of residential and commercial energy storage systems, on Thursday said it has appointed the former chief sales and marketing officer at Mercedes-Benz Energy – Marcus Brunner, as a chief sales officer.
The company announced as well the employment of yet another former Mercedes-Benz Energy official – the ex-Head of Sales Europe there, Andreas Rueckemann, who will be Eguana’s new Director of Sales Europe. He has a background in the cleantech space with deep understanding of strategic branding and international sales, the company's CEO Justin Holland said in a statement.
The newly-appointed chief sales officer, Brunner, has also held sales and marketing positions at companies such as General Electric, Zumtobel and Avnet Technologies Solutions. "Under his [Brunner's] leadership we expect to accelerate growth in all global markets,” Holland added.
Rueckemann, in turn, commented that the company's existing relationships and networks should ensure the early success of its Enduro all-in-one energy storage solution.
“We have also identified volume opportunities for the Elevate product, which fills a current gap in the market in Europe,” he noted. The particular three-phase commercial system will be certified for European and Australian markets and its roll-out is set to start in the spring of 2019.
A few months ago, Eguana appointed another Mercedes-Benz Energy high-rank employee, the former Energy Storage Business Development (BD) Manager there – Livio Filice. He now serves as Director of Residential Sales in North America for Eguana.
